rarely would i chance upon a song that would lift my spirits up... this song came onto 987 morning am mayhem yesterday morning whilst i was preparing to go to work... strange that this song came on as the songs played in the mornings are usually the recent pop rock songs... i instinctively paid attention to the lyrics and felt a certain kind of something in my heart... something indescribably touching and nice... it was like the song was was meant for me to hear to remind me that all is not lost in my current weary life as i can seek comfort in knowing that an angel will always be around in the form of my friends and the good pple I meet... which is so true... work is so much crazy now but i'm thankful tt i have NY and gloria who accompanies me thru the late hours so i dont feel alone... there will also be little jo and serene's concern msn asking me to not stay late...
this is the 1st time i heard the song and there was no mention of the song title nor singer by the DJs after the song ended... though i'm not a fan of Corrinne May and have never listen to her songs much other than in those tvc promoting her album , i kinda took a stab in the dark by guessing that she was the singer... i hit the nail on the spot when i googled her name and found her webbie... this song was from her album way back in 2005! cool huh!
Angel in Disguise
I woke up this morning feeling kind of blue
and I stumbled out of bed
and dragged my feet across the room
Right outside my front door was a rose
and a note that said 'Somebody Loves You'
But out on the street it starts to pour
and before I get soaking wet,
A total stranger runs to give me
the jacket off his back
I turn around to thank him
But he waves me with a smile
I can hardly believe my eyes
He puts on a halo and starts to fly
Take a look at the ordinary
Don't need to look at Paradise
You could be next to
an angel in disguise
I met a good friend for lunch
and we had a delicious meal
But I forgot to bring my wallet
I felt like an imbecile
But she was sweet, she gave me a treat and
Bought me a chicken sandwich
To take home for tea
But out on the street with nothing to eat
A man and his shopping cart go
Travelling to places,
Collecting social graces
I give him my sandwich
and we chatter for a while
I see a rainbow wash over his eyes
He gives me his halo and
I start to fly
Take a look at the ordinary
Don't need to look for Paradise
You could be next to an angel in disguise
Don't try to hide away from me
I know you're by my side
Take a look at the ordinary
Don't need to look for Paradise
You could be next to
an angel in disguise
Everyday can be legendary
Every minute, an endless surprise
You could be the next angel in disguise
I woke up this morning
Feeling kind of new.

Quotable Quotes from Desperate Housewvies
"Have you met the perfect couple? The two soul mates whose love never dies? The two lovers whose relationship is never threatened. The husband and wife who trust each other completely. If you haven't met the perfect couple, let me introduce you. They stand atop a layer of butter cream frosting. The secret of their success? Well, for starters, they don't have to look at each other."
"We've all done something in our lives we're ashamed of. Some of us have fallen for the wrong man. Some have let go of the right woman. There are those who have humiliated their parents and those who have failed their children. Yes, we've all made mistakes that diminish us and those we love. But there is redemption if we try to learn from those mistakes and grow."
"The vow is simple, really. Those who take it promise to stay together for better or for worse. For richer or for poorer. In sickness and in health. To honor and to cherish. Forsaking all others. Until death do us part. Yes, the vow is simple. Finding someone worthy of such a promise is the hard part. But if we can, that’s when we begin to live happily ever after."

This pig needs to get her hands burnt occassionally =p
haven't been catching grey's anatomy for sometime now... most of the time its cos of the timings it is shown on tv... managed to catch it today =) the stories always gets to me... i never fail to feel what the characters feel, esp their sadness, my heart usu feel their hurt too and i would tear... it's usu cos ultimately there would be a possibility of losing a loved one... at some point in my life, i had the same fear, no matter the difference in circumstances... i still have that fear but sometimes it takes a backseat and that's where i start taking things for granted again... yeah, it's not good and only when patience is wearing thin would i be jolted back into my senses but it would be a matter of time before i suffer a relapse =p
i need a good knock on the head. really.
