a peek at wilbur's saturday =)
we were blessed with perfect weather yesterday evening =)
the sun was mostly blocked by the clouds, making the weather non-scorching, cool and breezy :)
(R) taken minutes before the earth hour initiative came into effect :)
(R) the sun sets... somehow the marina bay sands resort kinda reminds me of the stonehenge :)
dragon in the clouds and dragon on land hee hee :)
(L) the shadows of four - wilbur, dragon, ny and kelvin
food glorious food all prepared by the maestro chef, kelvin!
he spoiled us with pork wrapped vege, grilled salmon with red wine and meat burgers!
बहुत बहुत धन्यवाद, kelvin!

exposure
from the previous industry i was from as well as the previous position i was holding, how many can say that they had seen real talents in action, not to mention work with them? vincent and han from hyla are true talents in their field =)
this was one of the compensating factors that kept me within until one day when all remedies seemed to had lost its effectiveness and i had to look elsewhere in hope to get treatment.
tempers may always flare but how many in her position can be daring to push boundaries and break conventions?
seeing thru the radical renovation is my proudest :)

no storm can prevent the pig from smiling =)
i was going 'oh darn' this morning as midway through the bus ride, it was and i din bring a brolly with me =p
was expecting to be late for work when i alighted but a lovely gesture from a kind soul rescued me =) she offered to ferry one of us and as luck would have it, no one other then me could head towards the direction she was =) as we braved through heavy pelts and splashed puddles from the roads, she even apologised for the brolly being small! i really felt paiseh as it was cause of me that she couldnt be sheltered fully =p
seriously, i wasnt expecting any offer of shelter as all had foldable brollies which are usually fit to cover just one person =p

this seat is meant for one most of the time!
the front yellow seats of the new public buses are to fit 2 school kids
unless the adults are the size of school kids, can the seat fit 2
some things are just so obvious but some are so dumb to even see this conspicuous fact!
idiots with terrible judgement comes in 2 forms
- accuse others for being inconsiderate with their glare or
- rudely squeeze themselves beside the existing passenger
*pffff*
little cacti
when will wilbur buy a digital single-lens reflex camera?
only when i understand how it works, which is like, looking from the technical explanation below, NEVER! ;)
"A digital single-lens reflex camera is a digital camera that uses a mechanical mirror system and pentaprism to direct light from the lens to an optical viewfinder on the back of the camera.
The basic operation of a DSLR is as follows: for viewing purposes, the mirror reflects the light coming through the attached lens upwards at a 90 degree angle. It is then reflected twice by the pentaprism, rectifying it for the photographer's eye. During exposure, the mirror assembly swings upward, the aperture narrows (if stopped down, or set smaller than wide open), and a shutter opens, allowing the lens to project light onto the image sensor. A second shutter then covers the sensor, ending the exposure, and the mirror lowers while the shutter resets. The period that the mirror is flipped up is referred to as "viewfinder blackout". A fast-acting mirror and shutter is preferred so as to not delay an action photo.
All of this happens automatically over a period of milliseconds, with cameras designed to do this 3–10 times a second.
DSLRs are often preferred by professional still photographers because they allow an accurate preview of framing close to the moment of exposure, and because DSLRs allow the user to choose from a variety of interchangeable lenses. Most DSLRs also have a function that allows accurate preview of depth of field.
Many professionals also prefer DSLRs for their larger sensors compared to most compact digitals. DSLRs have sensors which are generally closer in size to the traditional film formats that many current professionals started out using. These large sensors allow for similar depths of field and picture angle to film formats.
The term DSLR generally refers to cameras that resemble 35 mm format cameras, although some medium format cameras are technically DSLRs."
what is the point of owning one when i dont bother to understand it's features and purpose?
the camera will not be used to it's fullest potential which defeats the purpose it was built for in the first place.
it is kinda an eyesore to see so many people with dslrs on the streets now because judging from the way they handle the camera, it would seem that these latest owners are having it to be hip and not because they have a passion for photography that tells a story *roll eyes*
wonder how many can capture the moment and produce pictures such as this?
(photo taken by mervyn, sf's bf :))
btw, have you heard of the irony where people who always take self-shots of themselves wants to own dslrs?

if they hope they would look better in these self-shots, i would be laughing my head off.

crap! crap! crap!
list of bus peeves =p
having to stand close next to boys with tilam smell in crowded buses
women who disregard your safety and start pushing or rudely nudging you from behind when exiting from buses (one just got her deserts this morning - this fucking trendy elderly woman couldnt bloodie wait for the passengers in front of me to have the right of passage and kept inching forward, nudging my back constantly!!! aaarrgghh!!! i pretended to unknowingly take a step back and stepped on her with my heel which drew an immediate flinch >=) )
women who cannot hand carry their sling handbags and men, their haversacks.
these group stubbornly continue to have their bags on their shoulders when boarding or standing in crowded buses... either one hard poke or repeated pokes from the damn bag is enough to have me swing a brick-filled bag across their empty heads, in my mind, of course!
passengers who cannot stand with their back against other passengers on a narrow pathway..., these idiots stand like they are gg to do a full monty performance which i hope one day someone will brush against them so hard that their manhood would fall off to the floor and be kicked away >=) as for their female arse-brain counterparts, both boobs would merge into one and the 2 nei jis will roll away, never to be found.
yeah, it may sound funnie now but at the very crux of such encounters, the tortures that play up in my mind are far more horrid - think happy three friends >=)

a simple celebration for the young at heart :)
last minute dinner plans
later found out it was uncle albert's 58th birthday
thankfully, going to flyer for seafood paradise garnered good feedback from the rest =)
it was a gamble on my part to suggest the place when i hadnt been to this branch before =p
we had all praises for the food as well as service staff =)
we made their day as well cos we were one of the rare guests that tried to make their job a little better and easier ie. acknowledging their presence though we were in the midst of conversations, not expecting to be served like an emperor at all times :) - they kept thanking us and singing our praises ;p erm, our little gestures din strike us as anything out of the ordinary =p
anyway, it is knowing we made an impression to these teens that made my day and i believe that of kam yoke, kate, shuying, albert and wee boon s' as well =)
happy birthday, albert!
