finally the plane got clearance to take-off :)
waiting in the plane for nearly 40mins before the control tower gives clearance for take-off... the UA crew was all for customer service :) the pilot updated passengers his strategy for flying in the onimous weather which meant flying at an altitude of 40,000ft ie. above the stormy clouds... hmmm even then there was much turbulence for some time causing me to have a headache whilst i was watching dragon ball on screen =p had to close my eyes for a while else i would have had to use the paper bag placed at the back seat =p
had a young cheena girl sitting a seat away from me... think its her 1st time flying... she initially set in the window seat in front of me but an air stewardess politely requested to check her tic and told her she was in the wrong seat... she moved but wasnt convinced and kept looking at her tic and the seat no. *roll eyes* she may have thought she du seng (god of gambler) can change the seat no. of her ticket lol
during the flight, she tried to act nonchalant and at times tried to follow what i was doing like sitting cross-legged on the seat etc arrrgggghhh
pretty much sums up my feelings =)
the spacious airport which had shops at every corner including the gates! no good for shopaholics lol
just a while longer before reaching the airport =S
the beckoning dark clouds which was telling of the oncoming typhoon =s
in the airport express train waiting...
as typhoon 8 signal was gg to be announced at 6pm, it almost seemed like i couldnt make it to hk station cos i had difficulty hailing a cab at western market abt 5pm; all cabs had passengers in them =( i had to lug 2 luggage all the way to wing on where i saw a cab stand =s if i hadnt saw the taxi stand, i would have most prob walked to hk stn despite the fact tt i practically had no idea how to lug my baggage up the stairs if i ran into one... moreover the strong winds did not make my walk any easier and at one point even my not-so-mini denim skirt almost flew up =p
managed to get a cab abt 5.20pm, lucky it was just a short ride to hk stn :)
i reached the airport early and once again ate char siew rice from de coral for dinner lol
went to the disney store and got chip for both ny and me lol
bought a couple of collector's pins too =p
when i reached gate 61, passengers had all not boarded yet which was good as it meant i was not late lol all thanks to the oncoming typhoon which delayed the boarding =)
it wasnt long before boarding took place and i was pleased tt UA had arranged for the boarding according to classes which was pretty orderly and quick... i was in class 2 and i sort of attributed to the fact tt it might be because i had indicated i was a krisflyer member (part of the star alliance grp) when confirming my check-in *shrugs* i may be wrong though lol
tasha, my hairdresser from mina dev' wil who trimmed my hair.... wanted to look for paul again but it was his day off... she is good as well :) this photo does not do justice to the poise and style she carries =p
was abt 3pm when i made my way back to sheung wan but not without stopping by central to check out whether the inital beautician who plucked my brows during my 1st hk visit was available, she was not so i walked back and stopped by h&m along the way =p got a minnie t-shirt and a few hair accessories :) how i love h&m lol! nearly wanted to get boots as i was inspired by tasha's dressing but preferred something in apricot colour which they din carry...
it was getting windy on my way back ... sf had called me earlier whilst i was in the salon to say tt jenn told her typhoon would be coming in, i din think much of it then but i noticed tt pple were making their way home and i quicken my pace to sf's place... had wanted to ta pao the char siew siu yoke for dragon but the shop had closed =p ...
upon reaching sf's place at 4.30pm, i quickly turned on the tv and saw the message flashed at the bottom of the screen saying tt typhoon signal 8 would be announced at 6pm or earlier... faintz!
part of my brunch at saint alps =) went there again as it was less crowded... biz doesnt look too good for them but i hope they can manage to sustain as their food is not bad and it is a break from the usual hk food which is very strong in taste and flavour...
