pig's attempt to deflect negativity

was totally worn to the bone yesterday ie. saturday... was in office with NY till abt 10pm... work sucks but oh well, a pig's gotta do what a pig's gotta do, work on the unfinished shit work of the irresponsible weed *grunt*
anyway so glad tat dragon picked us up! stopped by the whampoa food centre to da pau food, there's where i realised NY was totally clueless what good food was there though she lived nearby *wide-eye amazement* hahahaha... the market could get a bit unsafe for a SYT like her, so her parents kinda not let her wander there too often... yeah, the market was filled with uncles and ah peks when we were there... not the chess-playing kind but rather the kind that u see at the turf club on weekends - boorish.
was totally drained when i got home... sweet dragon cleaned up the home and it wasnt long before i was in deep slumber whilst watching Underworld: Rise of the Lycans
today woke up feeling a bit rested, poor dragon caught back the flu bug from me... he was tired from flu and from '=)' but he was such a doll cos he drove us to east coast to eat at sushi tei... damn! i should have ordered the shoyu ramen but thought i try their negitoro don... extremely the most terrible choice i made for the day... it sucked big time... looks like tampopo is the only place for my gourmet negitoro don =p dragon was smiling the whole time cos he said my face had 'sian' written all over when was eating it ;) thank goodness there were other dishes that saved their reputation =p
there was the car boot garage sale as well as some flea market thing going on, the weather wasnt too kind to the poor sellers as one moment it was pouring and the next it was scorching hot! it was the 1st time my face was drenched in perspiration but within like 20mins, i bought 1 handmade pouch, 2 hair clips and a nautical dress... yes. nothing can stop this pig from shopping =p but i guess i bought the pouch and clips as a form of encouragement to the sellers who made them and to support their craft :)
thot we were heading home when awfully sweet dragon detoured to cold storage katong upon hearing tt i craved for awfully chocolate ice cream... we ta pao tau kwa pau and his fave kueh kueh at katong across the street... while shopping for groceries at cold storage he saw pre-packed raw mussels gg for less than a dollar fifty! he decided to try his hand at cooking them and we bought canned tomato sauce and red cut chillies as well ... the result was applaudable! it was his 1st time trying but the gravy was tasty!
we watched 2 movies almost back to back, the day the earth stood still and bedtime stories... i like the message behind both the movies =)
well... that's my Sunday for you... will be snoozing soon... have to brace myself for another draining work week eeeeeeeeeeeeeee....

made dragon v tired this morning *grins* but he was sweet to drive to liang court cos i missed my negitoro don =p we were pretty lucky round the clock today, parking was a breeze, there was a daunting crowd outside tampopo but we din have to wait one bit cos they had counter seats available, our food came pretty fast considering the huge crowd at the resturant =)dinner was all the junk food we bought =p

You would think that being self-centered would mean that they have a high opinion of themselves. Oddly it is just the opposite. These people have low self-esteem, but nevertheless everything revolves around them.
They cannot be happy because they cannot get outside of themselves. They cannot see the world from another's perspective. They cannot belong to something larger or be a part of something bigger than themselves. They are in a sense trapped within their own selfishness. This is one of life's strange dilemmas.
This self-centeredness explains many of their contradictions. They expect a lot from others, for example, but others cannot expect much from them. They want friends and family to understand their feelings, but they do not understand the emotions of those they love.
They are abusive because they want you to do what they ask, do it immediately and not question their demands. Yet they do not want to help with things that you find important. They want you to be there for them; but they're not interested in being available for you.
Many self-centered people are depressed. When you think about it, it makes sense. Self-centered individuals live within narrow confines; they have no point of reference other than themselves; they are, in a sense, eating themselves alive.
I am reminded of the story of how monkeys can be trapped. A small hole is drilled into a coconut just large enough to insert a banana. This coconut is then attached to a tree. The monkey comes along, smells the banana, reaches in and grabs the banana and tries to withdraw it, but with his fist around the fruit, he cannot pull out his hand. Since he is unwilling to let go, he is caught. Self-centered people are unwilling to let go of their selfishness believing that it is essential. Yet if they could let go, they could free themselves of their self-created prison."

one of the dishes dragon and me had for lunch at chilli padi this morning.while eating, i reminisced how dad used to cook all these dishes when i was younger... he would go to the market (usu tekka market as they had more variety of spices) early morning and it would be about 2pm when we had lunch as dad doesnt believe in shortcuts.
yeah, he is a perfectionist when it comes to cooking. i teared while thinking about the past.
he's older now so he doesnt cook often =p only on CNY when i go visit them...

rarely would tv comedy make me laugh out loud, at most i will just give out a chuckle, but this show managed to have me had a hearty laugh =)quick witted and definitely funny!

moods
nothing hurts more than have a fight with your loved one
both the pig and the dragon did not have the best of moods this morning, leading to a huge fight - both bruised not cause they exchanged blows but rather anger and frustration got the better of them and they took it out on the wall and furniture respectively.
both kissed and made up within a couple of mins.
unpleasant in the beginning but sweet at the end.
it is such incidents that reminds us our deep love for each other.
the one that makes you most upset is the one that u love most.
the pig dedicates this to the dragon...

I would wish to wake up everyday
to the sound of your breath on my neck,
the warmth of your lips on my cheek,
the touch of your fingers on my skin,

Knowing that I could never find that feeling with anyone other than you.

gratitude
dedicated to the weeds who do not comprehend this simple act to which even the animals do...
begone weeds! let the flower buds bloom!
Gratitude. The word may be a little complex to pronounce but there is actually nothing complex about performing the act of showing gratitude. Always bear in mind that when you show gratitude to the things and the people around you, you will definitely hold the key to unlocking your personal growth and ultimately your success.
1) Instead of putting down, insulting and complaining about the people around you, try complementing, praising and appreciating them for all they have done for your well-being and your achievements. By doing this, you gain their respect and trust and they are more likely to continually assist you to achieve better.
2) Make a thank you list of all the people you are grateful for and constantly refer to this list to give yourself a better and greater feeling.
3) Give a simple verbal thank you, note of appreciation or even a thank you e-mail to express your gratitude to the people who have assisted you in achievements.
4) Shower the people you are grateful for with small or big cards, gifts, presents or rewards to clearly show them how much you appreciate them.
5) Or simply provide the people around you with gifts that cannot be bought with cash like your valuable time, your sacrifice or something that is of utmost importance to you.

the original escape to witch mountain
this remains as one of my favourite movies of all times.
i remember watching it multiple times on video when i was in pri school, never once got sick of it.
watching it made me imagined the stuff i could do if i had such powers... it was cool stuff esp when u are that age where u faced bullies and all...
somehow i dont think the coming movie sequel, 'race to witch mountain', can compare to the 1975 classic *shrugs*

the pig is defeated
each week, both wilbur & dragon will be stumped on what to have for lunch on a sunday.
the pig will usually pose the qn before the dragon does in order not to have to make a decision ;) the dragon will in turn be slightly irate that the pig always beats him to it =)
today.
lying casually next to dragon on the couch,
wilbur *teasingly*: "what do u wanna eat for lunch tomorrow?"
dragon *quickly & smartly retorts*: "tomorrow stuff, tomorrow then say."
wilbur turns to look at dragon, both break out into laughter =)
