as the mad hatter would agree

"Eccentricity is not, as dull people would have us believe, a form of madness.

It is often a kind of innocent pride, and the man of genius and the aristocrat are frequently regarded as eccentrics because genius and aristocrat are entirely unafraid of and uninfluenced by the opinions and vagaries of the crowd."

Dame Edith Sitwell

that lazy feeling

why else would i always go overboard with loads of food n munchies for both myself and dragon? *guffaws*

the loot yesterday while being there for just half an hour?

  • 1 grande and 1 regular saybons seafood bisque (their soup is so bloodie good that i always think it's some magic potion for me to turn into a crab or something heh)

  • 4 slices of bread with garlic herbs spread (also from saybons)

  • 1 taiwan crispy pork

  • 14oz take home pack of yami yougurt with peach slice toppings

  • 5 yakitori sticks of pork & aparagus, chicken skin and pork

meow!

caught cats with NY last fri... elaborate costumes and set-up plus fantastic acrobatic antics other than that, thot it was okay only... guess me still a fan of local theatre which is easier to relate to...
but i like the part when the cats were all over and one of them stood behind NY and playfully touch her head =) guess $140 price was ok considering the cats were all near us hee

actually the most exciting part of the day was that both of us were trying to beat the clock to get to esplanade theatre before 8pm as the doors would close by then. Truly an amazing race siah lol

twilight

now i know why NY is addicted to the book.
watched the movie just now. twilight is the new mills and boons whose male lead sweeps every romantic gal off her feet! edward cullen is charmingly dangerous but protective of his true love. the casting for the characters was right on. the dialogues were simple but witty.

i think i may prefer the movie to the book which i have yet to read :)
cos the movie would tend to fast forward the book.
call me jaded, my patience seems to be running short for love stories that drags endlessly =p
i mean gal meets vampire. both are madly in love so why cant vamp bite gal so that they can live happily ever after cos she would gain immortality and some powers as well?

maybe after following though countless shows, there are only 3 kinds of endings - happy, sad or inconclusive. of course some would say it's the plots that make the show interesting but it can be a tad predictable after a while.

“I don’t have the strength to stay away from you” - Edward Cullen
i once bore the same feelings and i'm glad that i din have the strength back then else the happy ending between the dragon and the pig would never be :)

Luly Yang

love the dramatic oriental designs plus her ingenuity to adopt the patterns of a butterfly wings into a dress!

took this today at mr curry house before our order came :)
we had initially made an impromptu decision to eat at ellenborough market cafe but the buffet ended exactly at the time we arrived i.e. 2.30pm. the waitress manding the entrance counter was v nice though and offered us the phone no. to call to make reservations which must be at least 2 weeks in advance due to popularity *OMG*

love the myriad of colours! shot from meidiya supermarket after lunch... dragon was fooling around, waving his hands in front of the cam while i tried to take this shot =p
he seems to get totally embarassed when i take shots of everyday things and places kekekeke

portrait of a beauty

portrait of a beauty is artistically and seductively intriguing *chuckles* .... me thinks it's pretty well-made :)

Synopsis
Born to a family of established court painters, seven-year-old Yun-jeong is a young girl gifted at painting. However, the pressure is on her brother to carry on the proud family tradition, as women aren’t allowed to become professional painters. While her brother trains to take his place in the court, Yun-jeong helps him out by secretly painting for him. The little girl’s life is turned upside down when her brother kills himself. In order to preserve the family honor, she is forced to take her brother’s name and lives as a man. Yun-bok’s genius and talent captures the heart of another great master of the time, Kim Hong-do. But her daring depictions of women are condemned by the royal institute as obscene. Yun-bok meets Kang-mu and falls deeply in love. For the first time, she feels the strong desire to abandon everything she has built and simply be a woman in front of the man she loves. Kang-mu sacrifices all for his love as well. Kim Hong-do, who loved the genius of his best student, ends up loving everything about her, and Seol-hwa, a Gisaeng at the courtesan house, possesses a love for Hong-do that turns into fatal jealousy.
