damn! this wat happens when i explore too much lol... chanced upon a lifelike jap lolita doll which captured my heart... but having one would cost near $700 up to $1k... not too sure why they are so expensive... figured that maybe the material would be the same as that of a ventriloquist doll... trying not to dwell on it too much so i would forget it in time but i guess it's hard to resist... if i really get one, i must hide it away from dragon though cos he would be freaked out as the features are lifelike and we grew up on horror movies portraying dolls as killers etc hahaha but mainly i guess he would check me into a mental facility cos he would not understand how can one pay so much for a doll.... bah...
the name for such dolls as i found out is call super dollfies... they can be dressed in lolita gear and everything can be customised right down to the color of the eyes, lips and even hair to give it its own personality... somehow i think that such dolls may sort of come to life not literally walk etc as in Chucky lol but in spirit if one were to spend time with it etc...
gong gong parrot fish wanted to kill itself... it jumped out of the baby bath tub... i realised cos dragon kaypoh went to feed the fishies but they din have appetite to eat as they are still unwell and most prob the food was decaying and causing the water condition to be bad... i just removed the food and changed the filter sponge... hopefully water condition will improve else must change water again... sometimes hor the other half can be like parents and be a pain in the arse when they start being kaypoh and cause u more work... best thing is that i have to restrain from sounding too accusing else things will sometimes turn ugly... yeah, the tone in my voice sometimes can come out and offend lor =p... bibik genes lah...

Few nite words by Wilbur
my wardrobe is in mess!!! suddenly remembered i had this tee and was looking high and low for it... not easy considering my closet looked like the after effects of a major Fox sale =p ... in the end i decided to take out all the stuff that piled up and fold them nicely back... i dont have enough closet space so now it looks like the beginning of a Fox Sale where eveything mismatched is stacked up nicely... most prob if i need to find something urgently, i would pull the stuff out like what cusotmers do in a Fox shop hahahaa...
my clothes are all over the place and sometimes i put them away so well that i forgot i even have them... i did this to dragon's clothes too =p ... last week he asked where his polo tees were cos suddenly he felt like there was a major shortage kekekeke... they werent in the laundry either... i forgot tt i kept them away the storage box and i still told him tt maybe they could be at his mother's lol... i just found a whole stack of them when i was looking for my baju... i'm so gonna get a earful from him lor.... i think if i have the time n money i would like to redecor my house to one that of a boutique hahaaha so i can find my stuff easily... i think i adopt this habit of keeping stuff from my grandma =p or is it a peranakan thing kekeke...
have to knock myself to sleep soon... i realised tt i becoming nocturnal which is not a good thing... wonder if my great grandma was a vampire from england hence my habit =x hee.... wonder how she looked like cos grandma din seemed to have her pic nor that of her father to show me =(
the eye serum which this sales person at chinatown recommended seems to be working for me or maybe i have enough rest since i'm bounded =p ... whatever it is it's time to punch myself to sleep *boink! zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz*

The camera hates Wilbur!
i never really like pictures to be taken of me cos i always find i look weird in pics... face it! the camera hates me lor... there are some pple who will appear so natural in the pics like eugenia, valencia, yuqian, xiangjing that they dont need any effort, for me leh, i need so many takes for just that one pic to look nice =p ... i can so imagine the whole panel of ANTM judges in front of me and all shaking their heads lor and Tyra would go: "you look like a deer caught in headlights, it was very hard to find a good shot in those films blah, blah blah" and she would make the exact deadpan face i have in films so as to demonstrate her point hahahahah =D very vivid imagination hor?! i guess that's what happens when i'm home too long... eugenia jokes that i'm on house arrest =) quite true lor....
anyway, i think i look normal but when i see myself in pics i find many flaws and like got alot of disproportions lor... i think my side preview is nicer than a full front, like the naked body can be obscenely ugly *hangs head*... dragons says i look insane or crazed in pics... yeah he should know... bloodie hell just the other day he sneakily took a shot of my digging for gold nuggets while i was in the loo!!!! nabeh... if i do that to him i'm sure he wont talk to me for couple of days lor... why is it that men are the women now??? must be eat too much soya products lol ... (the article in ST abt soya products makes men produce more oestrogen hormones hence low sperm count *grins*) oh well... this planet is a strange place lah... men have longer eye lashes, usu nicer and slender smooth hands and fingers and they seem to excel in positions where women are suppose to have more experience in i.e. cooks, tailors etc talk abt unfair lol :)
till this day, i like looking at XJ's FB for his pics... all his pics like picture perfect and he looks like a jap model right out of a mag lor... i think he doesnt even need to photoshop them *shakes head* ... good hor ... he can exude that kind of 'say' but in real life he can be quite noisy one lol so unlike the air coolness he portrays in those pics... he is a fun fren to have though ... the other day i was corresponding with him on msn and he got to know of my recent op... that naughty fella started msn-ing jokes to crack me up knowing i couldnt laugh hard cos of my wound ;p ... that's XJ for you :)
aye, today it rained but i no chance to wear my polka dotted wellies out =( ... haiz... today really a gloomy day other then the weather, i felt like tearing my hair out when i checked my office email... dumb, dumb and more dumb... when will my $8million come!!!! i will turn insane like fann wong in the 9 o'clock show if i con't man... i think my family also got history of insanity *hysterical laughter* >=)

Wilbur is smiling...
got a call from SGH today... was almost gg into panic mode when i picked up the call and the lady identified herself and said she was calling for SGH... then she said "thank you for the cupcakes" lol... i almost forgot tt i had arranged for the cupcakes to be delivered to the staff and nurses of ward 53c room 27 today :) .... ordered from Angelz Cups... they have a couple of unique flavoured cupcakes at reasonable prices :) ... i wanted to deliver something to the nurses and staff to thank those who took care of me while i was there as well as to let them know they are not forgotten.... i figured that not many pple would actually show their gratitude to these quiet heroines... this was my note to them which accompanied the cupcakes... "To all the Nurses and Staff of Ward 53C Rm 27 who took care of me while I was there from 24 Jul 08 to 28 Jul 08. This is nothing compared to your dedication and service =) ... Lots of Love, Margaret (former occupant of Bed 2)"
what the nurses do and the amount of shit (literally!) they had to face each day takes alot of courage which i cannot bring myself to do... i din catch the nurse's name (i.e. the one who called me) but it felt good that i made their day and i could hear it from the tone of her voice =) i could not stop smiling after receiving her call... it really feels good when u know u have made someone happy... this is realli a small gesture on my part but i do wish that pple wld take time n effort to give thanks or show appreciation to those who have helped you or inspired you... it's sad when we can be so extravagant in our spending for ourselves but yet so stingy sometimes when it comes to spending on others or even just paying compliments... i have also arranged for a brands essence of chicken plus bird nest hamper to be sent to Dr Tan HK ... i think he did great for my op and also sometimes such little gestures provides some encouragement to these lifesavers cos i think in our society we are not so generous in terms of showing gratitude or paying compliments... who wouldnt feel good knowing they are not invisible and what they did is recognised?! i have been spending alot lately but i figured spending for these causes is impt and necessary... besides i guess when i downgraded from B1 to C, i saved like $3k in cash which otherwise i had to incur, so $150 for making so many pple feel appreciated is nothing =) ... erm, i gave like only 37 cupcakes to the ward, hope it is enough to go round though... i did specifically tell the nurse to save some for the night nurses esp the indian cum eurasian nurse who firmly told me to try getting up but provided both the support and patience :)
some thot it was strange to give essence of chicken to Dr Tan but when i checked out those florists, Thank You hampers usu comes with wine which seems more inappropriate lor... i mean docs have hectic lifestyles so at least he will be very alert like Utt in the commercial when he drinks brands hahahhahaha as opposed to drinking wine ;)
today seems like i have my 6th sense working... i correctly predicted Havis horoscope just by talking to her for a couple of minutes lol... maybe cos i could chat easily with her cos libra and sagi very gam :) sf n me, sec sch mate ivy n me etc .... also those petite mini collectible toys from japan that comes in a box but you dunno what toy is inside till u open it? there were 3 boxes of them, i was hoping for the one with the lollipop inside and guess what when i opened the 2nd box the lollipop was inside! but that's not all, i had hoped that the 3rd box wld be a lollipop again so that maybe i could use it as an ornament to a necklace or something and voila! 3rd box had a lolly inside too!!! abt being so zun4 i wished that i could win the RD's lottery of $200k lol... maybe i should go buy the toto or something... if the $8m was mine, my resignation letter wld be written on a $10 note and slid underneath Voldemort's room muahahahah.... *slaps self* need to stop daydreaming lol ;p .... both dragon n i did talk abt this... if i ever was so lucky (not in a million years lah) i would find a simple job to do like helping out in weiren's cafe lol...
oh yeah, i tink i better turn in before 4.30am... i had the most eerie feeling yest... around that time, my doggies suddenly wiggle out from under the sofa and rushed to the door macham someone was at the door lor... they seemed flustered as well... thinking it was my neighbour, i peeped thru the peep hole but no one was there! i then popped my head out of my living room window to get a better view of the corridor and again all was quiet not a soul in sight (choi! choi! choi!)! feeling uneasy, i quickly turn off my laptop and switched off the lights and quickly went to bed with trying my best to hide my face in the pillow =p ... when i discussed with dragon today... we joked that maybe it was the spirit of the guinea pig which Clover killed when she was younger and it was coming back to haunt her =p ... it was truly scary moment wor.... lucky got blessed cross outside my house... but dunno whether it works for animal spirits lol since they dont have religion.... so many qns abt this life hor and there are no answers for all...
yay, got lobang to do nonya kebayas at a cheaper rate than katong... apparently chinatown has many tailors or seamstress that can do kebayas and even nonyas go there n make... i want one to wear for dinners hee... its time to get in touch with my roots and unleash the bibik power lol ;D

Wilbur si bei nuah....
aye, the problem of staying home too much is tt i will turn nuah like tao foo very soon =( .... if i'm not on the sofa, i will be like on the chair... taking naps the whole day today... haiz disgusted with myself .... have to get down to cleaning the hamsters cages in a while... has been 2 weeks already and i bet if this was a cartoon, the hamsters wld most probably throw sawdust at me in protest when i walk into the room lol... actually, the hamster Shinobi will always let me know it's time to change his bedding cos he will sleep on the other end of the cage as his usual place will kinda make it itch...
call me crazy but i believe if you spend time wif ur pets, u will be aware of such things :) like i said, the power of observation which sadly lacks in our society nowdays cos everyone is rushing... we dont take time to smell the flowers and notice the pple around us... that's y u have idiots blocking the escalator way, walking over all the place and blocking ur path etc... i'm no angel but at least u i try to be aware of the pple and surroundings...
i have got like a thousand and one errands to run but cant do so now ... super frustrating lor... yeah i guess i should not be so kan chiong abt this since its not time critical but i never want to make it a habit to procrastinate... it's the root of all evil cos once u keep slacking by the time u realise, there are like few thousand stuff to do and my mind would be busy planning how to resolve such stuff =p
i think i will miss the corp retreat, cant remember when is it anyway haahaaha... last time i would look forward to these retreats as it meant chilling out n having fun with fun close pals but now i'm so jaded that it doesnt matter whether i'm there or not... the one i rem most is the one at orchid country club where we were testing the games at nite and having a fun time fooling ard with lynette, ck, sf, weiren, william, huat etc... that was also the corp retreat where i was physically close to BT lol... she was in my team and i had to hug her but of course i'm not like u sick pple out there hahahaha... i din think how her dang dangs felt kekekeke ;)
last year's retreat at sentosa wasnt too bad but we were left wif all the quiet pple haha...
this phrase kept springing in my mind... " for all the riches in the world, he could not take it along with him" ... i must have read it somewhere but cant recall... it also seems like what the narrator in Pushing Daisies wld say *shrugs* but i guess it's one of those phrase which i find meaning to it that's y it's always at the back of my head...
i hate the internet, cause me to sin again lol... bought a kate spade clutch as well as an clutch from unknown brand (to me anyway) online... not that expensive lah... the KS clutch was on sale for US$119 lol... italian silk okay, dont play play... the other clutch was US$30... i pride myself in being able to assess what is a good buy... i dont usu go for super branded stuff since i dont think i'm always in the mood to dress the part to be able to carry off that branded bag and sometimes it's a bit ridiculous to pay such an exorbitant price etc lol... ever seen a sloppy dresser, usu sans make-up, carrying those branded bags, wah lao the bags should never look better then the owner lor!!! sorrie to sound so harsh but it's realli a matter of fact lor... it's sad when it can be so obvious sometimes who is rich and who is trying to imitate being rich... of course i do dream of being a socialite like jamie cucua where even if she carries a ugly bag, it would look so damn good on her... she isnt usu in the limelight but she is a true natural beauty... she is the one who brought in manolo blahnik shoes to SG... anyway, i guess some pple are just born beautiful i.e. jamie cucua where anything they hold branded or not would come out nice... same for laycheng too ;) i'm not one who will be sour or lament when it comes to beautiful pple... in fact i appreciate all things beautiful be it human or not :) it's my libra genes i guess :)
some pple think by carrying an expensive bag, they can afford to dress down but they dont know there is a difference btw sloppy and dressing down... aye... local woman should learn from the japs... they can be housewives but yet their dressing and style says it all...
yes, i'm not exactly perfect when it comes to my dressing sometimes that y i rather dress like a teeny bopper wannabe muhahahaa.... i rather come across as a ah lian who can afford to spend cos i can't pull off the look of a tai-tai *grins*

Wilbur, Queen of Thorns?
finally got durians from the rising 4 seasons stall at still road (opp the famous crab coffeeshop)... we got the top grade ones which were selling at $20/kg... damage for our craving is $80 for 4 bitter babes! the durians are definitely worth every cent man! flesh was creamy, thick and the seed was so puny... after this indulgence, must definitely watch my diet =( cos durians pretty high in sugars aye...
the doggies also love durians! they got a good treat yest when dragon fed them with at least one chunk each... now each time we eat the durians, we get stares from the gals... they even resorted to acting pitiful and putting their head on my laps! haiz, talk abt spoiling them =p
oh yeah, finally got a digi cam cos i figure i needed one to take good shots of the items i'm selling... settled for a panasonic lumix for $350... wanted to get Fujifilm cos they had it in green and pink but the Best Denki sales person recommended panasonic instead as it could take sharp close-up shots... why cant electronic goods be colourful and funky???!!! haiz...
went to see dentist uncle tim yest as my gums was pretty sensitive and hurt when i brushed... i was a little worried as i thot it was the side effects of the anesthetic or worse decaying for not brushing my teeth for the few days after my operation but apparently it was a problem of exposed gums that caused my sensitivity... paid uncle tim a total of $30 *cheap, cheap!* for general checking of teeth, sensodyne toothpaste for sensitive teeth and a tube of gel to be applied to the exposed areas to reduce the sensitivity :) ... by the way, i wld most prob go to uncle tim for my root canal review instead of NDC 6 mths later... y? cos NDC's HOD has duly counselled that dental surgeon whom i felt was not thorough in his explanation and also have agreed to refund me $32 out of $40... i will be insane to go back to the same dental surgeon for my review lor ;)
on our way to uncle tim's, i happen to chance upon the store egg3 which sells items by local designers i think... the interior decor is a bit french, vintage and whimsical... the clothes not cheap abt $100 plus but its pretty unique like a black polo tee with collar in chinese qipao motif... i wouldnt mind paying 'cept for this kind of place with such decor you would expect the owner(s) to be speaking in halting english but no lor, when i stepped into the store, i heard this couple presumably relatives of the owners speaking in hokkien, i'm not ashamed of the dialet but i think i would be a cai4 tou2 (loose translation - carrot head or robert head ) if i bought anything from the store cos they might have want to come across as 'atas' hence the pricey stuff all around the store... i guess it's all abt marketing from the moment a customer walks into the store and not just decor alone... ask yourself, would u buy durian from an ang mo guy or ah beng? naturally ah abeng rite? (if you say ang mo, u can stop reading here and find an ang mo that sells ang mo liu lian wahahaaha) cos u would think to yourself wat the hell would an ang mo know how picking the best durian for you! i rest my case *takes a bow*
gosh, i have been passing out durian gas, durian pee and yest durian motion the whole of today! the fridge is finally cleared of all durians and i guess i wont be eating that devil of a fruit for a long long time =) i have this theory which dragon brushes off as rubbish but for me it really holds true... i wont get sick i.e. sore throat etc when i eat expensive durians but the moment i gorge on those 3 for $10 durians, i would be severely down with a bad throat and flu the next day! you guys may find it hard to believe but sometimes i think i know my own bod better lor as in wat it is adverse to etc... it all simply boils down to the power of observation and not oblivion :)
clover seems to be down with some skin problems which is getting me worried cos she bites the scabs until her skin is raw =( ... hopefully Dr Hsu from the Animal Clinic would be able to work his miracle on her... Dr Hsu is well known for his patience and sincere dedication in curing pets... a bit pricey but after experiencing the so-so services at Mt Pleasant, i think the Animal Clinic is better... but Dr Hsu is only available on weekdays though...
think i blogging diarrhoea again lol ...ending here cos incredible tales starting soon and thereafter Pushing Daisies :) lovely cute couple!!! i really thank God i took literature in Secondary school cos it made me appreciate such shows for it's ironies and hidden meanings which the writer of the show wanna bring across :)
ta-ta for now =)

on our way to uncle tim's, i happen to chance upon the store egg3 which sells items by local designers i think... the interior decor is a bit french, vintage and whimsical... the clothes not cheap abt $100 plus but its pretty unique like a black polo tee with collar in chinese qipao motif... i wouldnt mind paying 'cept for this kind of place with such decor you would expect the owner(s) to be speaking in halting english but no lor, when i stepped into the store, i heard this couple presumably relatives of the owners speaking in hokkien, i'm not ashamed of the dialet but i think i would be a cai4 tou2 (loose translation - carrot head or robert head ) if i bought anything from the store cos they might have want to come across as 'atas' hence the pricey stuff all around the store... i guess it's all abt marketing from the moment a customer walks into the store and not just decor alone... ask yourself, would u buy durian from an ang mo guy or ah beng? naturally ah abeng rite?

Wilbur Eat, Ate, Ape
went for my medical check-up as a follow-up for my op... could finally wear e yellow bubble spaghetti strap dress for the 1st time and with dragon some more muhahahaha >=) he hates that dress as it made me look pregnant but no choice as i this was the most apt cos of my wound n besides i was gg to the O&G clinic which will be filled with pregnant mums as well heh... place wasnt too crowded today and i got to see my fav Dr Tan... he reported that my wound is healing well and asked me not to move too much... wah, he macam got 6th sense lor *grins*... anyway, he remove the little bandage and said tt he would see me in a month's time... less than 5 mins i was out and the cost of this consultation? $62 ... i din mind the charges really cos as opposed to that idiotic dentist from NDC, Dr Tan to me is detailed and assuring :) abt the pain in the non-operated side of my ovary... he said it was deferred pain... hmmm... me, tee and ck joked this... it could be tt the left ovary shared the pain with the right cos they are twins kekekeke and being female organs, they tend to be more sensitive towards each other... yeah, we are crappy but i guess there's no need for us to be serious all the time... of course there will be times to be serious but otherwise, all of us should lighten up :) makes this place easier to live in...
ck reminded me of something i had wanted to pen down but forgot... after so many years of keeping something from mw, my secret from her is finally out... sigh of relief for me... it isnt cos i had intentionally kept it from her but sometimes it is not easy to brooch the subject much lest bring it up... there was never a appropriate time to tell her... but i guess she would understand has i think she hid something from me too but just tt hers got out sooner... so now it is a big PHEW for all of us? :)
sometimes i dont tell much abt my situation cos i dont like the idea of pple worrying or pitying me... this kind of attention i dont realli need and i dont want to come across as too vulnerable... i know some pple need this kind of attention esp those with middle child syndrome... cant blame them i guess... for me, i'm middle child too lol but of a different kind... hmmm... i liken myself like one of the many kids of Chao Yun Fatt (think he played King Mongkut) in Anna and the King :) it's like there are so many of us that we deal with not having the need for attention... yup, my siblings are of diff mothers... dad not ard much so was close to my paternal grandma aka the nanny...
yest, i cried when i caught sayang sayang on tv... i realli miss my younger days when i'm always surrounded by my relatives and i did feel lonely as an only child (yeah, it's complicated when i mention tt i have siblings in the above para :))... since the death of my grandma, splitting of the inheritance caused our family to split as well and now we are just a nuclei... it is so sick to think tt money can bring out the worst in pple...
btw, i think sushi tei at ec is a great place for dinner with close frens... not overly crowded like those outlets in the city and it's quieter... their food is great as compared to sakae... btw, dragon mentioned before abt the apex boss looking more n more like the sakae mascot *chuckles*
a must try dish at tei is the gyu salad with tei's own dressing... the dressing is simply yummy *smiles*
going to get some shut eye... think i will be having blogging diarrhoea during this period while i'm home =p wish i can say the same for my bowels though
oh yeah, why do guys open up to gals before they become gfs but once they are together, they clam up even more stubbornly than a qi hum???!!! [in sergent's tone:] guys should wake up their idea! or down 20!

Wilbur cant stop!
hahaha.... guess couldnt blog the past couple of days so making up heh... yay, dragon coming back soon with pork porridge and yu sheng lalalala....
btw, had a bad experience at NDC... see my feedback to them below... NDC replied that they will investigate... see what they have to say lor... cuckoo-fied! btw, for the Subway feedback, the Filipino Mgr of the Funan outlet called me on the same day and apologised. He said that i could change the veges... too bad i wasnt offered any voucher lol but at least i got my point across lalalalala ... i think that sandwich artist should now know better than to f*** ard with me >;) serves him rite, if he was polite abt it my feedback tone would not have been that of a complaint...
Feedback Type: Feedback on Medical Services
When: 23 July 2008
Subject: Consultation Fees
Feedback and Suggestions: Earlier today, I had fedback on the dentist's service. This is in addition to what I had written in earlier.
The final procedure for my root canal was done on 21 July 2008 at about 10am. I'm experiencing great pain in the tooth as well as gums when I bite soft food such as bread and cherries. This started yesterday night. I called NDC this morning and told the appt staff of my problem. She said that the earliest I can see the dentist is 1 Aug as he's scheduled is packed. I told her that I could not wait till then as I would be going for a major surgery in SGH on 25 July 08. So I requested her to contact the dentist and ask him whether I should be concerned abt the pain as I had difficulty eating as it was painful. She called me back and informed me that the dentist asked me to come down to the clinic immediately. Within half an hr, I saw the dentist and he just did a quick check and informed me that it is usual for patients to have this sensitivity and pain for abt a week and proceeded to prescribe me painkillers. He issued me a charge form and I was out of the room within 10 minutes or less. It was at the cashier that I realised I was charged $40 for this short session.
If the dentist had told me of the pain and sensitivity right after my root canal surgery on Monday and issued me with pain killers then I would not have to come back as I would have expected the pain and not be alarmed. I should not have to pay for any consultation this time as it should be part of the patient care service since it is just 2 days after my surgery. Private clinics would not have charged for the consultation!
If NDC strives to provide better service than private clinics, it has a long way to go as my experience definitely drives me to visit private clinics in future.
I am expecting for NDC to refund the $40 consultation fees to me!

WIlbur is the new hunchback of Notre Dame!
yeah, i cant move abt much, have been popping painkillers every couple of hrs else my pelvic area feels like hell... no that i have been to hell, it might be worse there but u get the picture lol... cant realli stand up straight lor, have been walking wih my back hunched, bloodie dragon boy still can laugh at my notre dame posture *grrrr*... simple things like sneezing, blowing my nose, coughing, which i used to take for granted, is not so simple for me now cos it hurts each time i do these things =/... have to press my pelvic with a towel when my body decides to perform one of the above activity to minimise the pain... geeze... worst of all, i have constipation since my surgery!!! like wat saffy has!!! been eating but no dumping... cant bear to see my tummy in the mirror man, looks like a time bomb! dragon forgot to get my constipation pills from the pharmacy yest even after i sms him... was a bit irritated but his 'bin' more chao than mine so i had to beat a cowardly retreat... he wasnt pissed wif me but some other stuff lah, aiyah MEN!
oh well, he should be getting the medication today so hope i can do a WWII atomic bomb in the loo tmr, yeah, the effect is not that quick =( ... SGH did feed me with some honey liquid to ease my bowel, but also no effect, maybe its a psychological thing... deep down i'm realli afraid of exerting too much force less my ovaries drop out hahahhaha.... but realli i a bit pa4 pa4 lah...
staying at C class ward, u get alot of oldies... there were a couple who were senile and kept keeping us awake with their loud ramblings and for one, even the sleeping medication did not subdue her *kowtow*... cecilia joked that maybe the burse should had given us all the sleeping pills instead =D she was pretty sway n irate cos she was just situated back to back to their noisy oldie... my advice would be to bring your earphones and mp3 (wanted to say walkman, but realised no such thing as walkman liao!!!) to shut out the noise, though not totally 100% but better than nothing...
i got a terrible rash from the huge bandage they wrapped round me after the op... when the nurse removed it, the whole area covered by the sticky bandage was red, sore n itchy =(... the patch is still there... have been applying the cream but i do hope it goes off soon cos sometimes the itch is extremely unbearable n i have to take the antihistamine aka small yellow pill to relieve the itch else i will be scratching like an ape... some parts already have scabs due to my incessant scratching =(
better end the gory stuff... anyway, i'm thinking of getting like maybe cupcakes to be delivered to the nurses in ward 53c... i guess its to show them appreciation for their dedication... wonder how many patients do show them gratitude? most of them are foreigners... want to get something for my gynae Dr Tan Hak Koon but dunno what is apt.... he is a Sr Consultant, nice chap who gives detailed explanations... that's y i prefer guy gynae to females... the females i encounter dont seem to show that much care nor were they detailed in their explanation...
now that me confined at home, have been browsing some sites... i bought a yukata set for like $55, cheap wor... dunno buy for wat lah but maybe just maybe i will wear it to some cosplay ahahaha... that's me lor, always buying for a possible-but-maybe-wont-happen event :) ... i'm also thinking of buying a nonya kebaya which i can wear for evening dinners... been searching but most of them like dont sell the sarong that compliments the kebaya =p ... buying in SG is usu damn ex but not too sure whether it's worthwhile to travel to malacca to get *shrugs* ... not impt lah but sometimes when i want something, i cant wait lor or rather dont like to wait =p
looking forward to Ave Q in November :) crazy puppets, i like =)
after op usu tak glam... yest i wore those long loose gown which most aunties like to wear at home... but no choice cos it provided more convenience than shorts which tend to be more leh chey when i need to go to the loo and it would hurt my wound when i remove them =/ need to have my brows trimmed also =( ... dont wanna end up like some kung fu master lol

Wilbur is in da house!
yups, me in da house literally! back from my stay in SGH...nah, not the one in Grey's Anatomy, though i wished it had been cos the nurses seems more cynical, pretty n fun but in SG, SGH can only mean S'pore General Hospital... had initially been offered a B1 class but after doing the sums and the fact that that i couldnt stay in an aircon room, i decided to downgrade to B2 but as luck would have it, there were no available beds in B2 so i was given a C... doesnt matter to me cos it meant more savings and facilities din differ much than B2, besides it's not like me staying in a hotel so din see the reason i should pay so much for comfort =p
my ginormous cyst of 10cm by 8cm has been removed and Doc Tan HK says it benign *skipping in joy*... i din get to see lumpy though, ck says usu they wld show it to the patient, but nope i wasnt given as much as a pic of it ... not too sure how i would react though if they had given me see the real thing... i wld imagine it placed in a bottled jar filled with liquid, very much like those u see in those mad scientists lab *chuckles*, i guess i most prob have fainted lor... very much like that blondie gal in one of the earlier seasons of ANTM lol, her eyes rolled up and she just fell back with a straight bod... dunno why lah, ,maybe older more dan xiao (translation: gut small ahahahah)...
i admitted a day prior to the op, so on thurs, i was practically making myself comfortable, listening to radio (still like my nokia 5310 :)), reading mags and papers... enjoying the dinner provided by the hospital... i wasnt anxious abt the op but rather the after effects =p ... early next morning, i was wheeled into the operating theatre, hmmm, maybe for mine, it should be an operating room rather than theatre cos i dont think mine had room for spectators lol... btw, they seem pretty stringent in their checks nowadays so i was like asked like 4 or 5 times the same set of qns (name, nric, signature correct, when op i'm in for) by the time i was on anaesthesia for my op to start... even in the op room got a bit of drama cos there was this indian nurse who was pretty kan chiong and kept asking me to stretch my left hand n place it on the table beside but i couldnt do so as this other chinese nurse was trying to clip on the heart monitor, the indie kept insisting me to place my hand on the table and it annoyed the other nurse that she snapped: "Can u wait, i'm trying to clip her finger"... haiz...
i was woken up and felt so much pain on the operated region that they had to jab with me painkillers... it din work will after a couple of jabs... sheesh... the next couple of hrs was agonising... not cos of the pain but i was not allowed food nor water till the next day at noon! every couple of hrs i had to be jabbed and the pain from my gastric was far far worse that the wound!!! but i guess i would NOT trade these few days of physical pain with the issues at the workplace... yes, issues at work sucks more cos it can be emotionally draining....
i met a few pple in my ward, there is cecilia... ard 30 plus i think... i din know till i was leaving that she had only one leg, the other was lost to diabetes... she's pretty positive and strong n her jokes r pretty cynical, the old lady beside my bed was nice too, she was concerned and even advised me what soup to drink (sang yu) when i'm one week after my op, she was in cos her leg and hand swell due to severe water retention... diabetic as well... she was poked many times as the nurses had to draw blood etc... some nurses not as skilled and she suffered for it cos the poking for painful for her =( ... some others come and go, the turnover is pretty fast, as in one could check out in the morning and in the afternoon, a new patient would be on the bed... there are many things tt i wld like to write down to let me recall my experience but my back is starting to hurt again...
i was also given quite a no. of jabs, one made my right arm numb n sore that i cld not sleep throughout the nite... on the 2nd day after my op, i was encouraged to move abt but l was like under the crucio curse, each move was painful tt i hated the thot of getting up to walk... i tried when ck, mw n wl visited me but i got giddy... lucky this night shift indie nightingale gave me the support, encouragement and patience for me to walk on my own... she was firm but patient and i without her, i guess i would most prob be lying in bed...
staying in hospital reinforced my belief that we shld always be thankful for wat we have and if we shld ever face setbacks, it is ourselves to pull it together... i never like the thot of self-pity, there are always pple out there who have it worse than me and mine is nothing as compared to them... we can succumb easily to our emotions and wallow in self-pity but sometimes in this world it is not just about you and tt i wat i always tell myself... Carp Diem!
oh yeah, some good to know stuff before i take my leave... avoid chicken, eggs, pork liver and sang yu after an operation preferably abt a month if you dont want ur scar to turn out like ugly betty or even worse open up!!! old wives tale? if u cynical, eat at the expense of your body lor...

Wilbur dreads not knowing...
got the results from the pelvic ultrasound... looks like more test needs to be conducted... haiz, more $ to be spent esp if i opt to go for the MRI scan instead of the CT scan... it cost abt $800-900... geez...
am i worried if the cysts turns out malignant? i was initially when the doc did not divulge too much since the ultrasound is not conclusive... it sucks when u dont have the info and knowledge cause it can make u feel unsettled... i find that most local docs seem to be wary of telling the patient too much... maybe cos they are afraid that the patient may be even more worried? anyway, thank goodness for the internet as i manage to find out more info and although it's a 50-50 chance but i tend to believe that maybe it's most prob benign... if proven otherwise, i guess i have no choice but to summon all the courage i have and face it as i need to fulfil my duty towards my parents and beloved pets esp the doggies... so my aim would be to outlive them before i pass on...
i dont like the thot of my frens feeling sad for me if anything untoward happens, i know it shows that they are concerned but feeling sad seems to say that i havent 'lived' (meaningfully)... to me it doesnt matter when you die young or old but what matters is that u had the chance to experience life, the emotions, the pple u meet... i'm contented at this point so if i really have to leave it would be okay... my life was given to me by God so naturally He has the right to take it back but i do hope it would not be at the expense of my parents and pets...
if u notice, i made no mention of dragon boy... it's not that we dont love each other but somehow i know he eventually will get by after all the sadness and he is more able to take care of himself as compared to my parents and pets... not too say that he wont be caring for them when i'm gone but i dont like to think he has to take over this duty all by himself esp when he has his parents to care for too... i know for sure that i do treasure the relationship we have now so it is without any regrets if i leave cos we have overcame our insecurities and have past the stage of saying hurtful things to each other...
what works in a relationship? having been through it, i guess couples must enjoy spending time together, show concern and understanding and speaking to each other often. Many a times, both parties tend to assume the other to be able to read their mind esp if you have been together for so long... note here the word is 'assume'... assumption can destroy a relationship... to counter it, there always must be frequent explicit verbal communication... trust me:) it can help clear up any misconception esp when spoken in a patient-pleasant-subtle-forthcoming-not in your face-not fault finding-not assuming manner *grins* you catch my drift if u really love a person and would take the time to reflect how u can make your relationship better instead of just brushing the problem aside and ignoring it....
i'm no guru lah, just sharing in hope that such info can help shed light for some of u :)

Wilbur:" grunt, grunt, grunt!"
freaking irritated by the male waiter at Subway this morning... he should have known better than to piss off this ass kicking bibik! must be think i young, bodoh and miskin from the way i dress... sorrie lor, once i got your stupid comment, i decided to write in to Subway cos thrashing it out with u is pointless... below is what i wrote to Subway >=) i dont understand the logic not being able to change the vegetables... if it's so as not to hold up the queue, it's not a good reason cos usu there is not queue 2 begin with for breakfast! bah, let's wait n see how Subway decides to reply.
"I work near Funan the IT Mall and have been getting breakfast at Subway pretty frequently for the past 6 months or so. My usual order would always be ham & egg deli and I would request for green peppers, onions and cucumbers instead of the standard lettuce, tomatoes and cucumbers combi. I don't request for any sauces for my deli.
However, today when I made the above order, the Sandwich Artist told me rather matter of factly that requests for change the vegetables is not usually not entertained for breakfast and as shown in the poster, it comes with the standard vegetables only! He did entertain to my request anyway but I'm appalled by his remark that customers cannot change (or request for more) vegetables. Isn't Subway all about healthy eating and nutrition?! This is the very reason I patronise Subway and also my request for other vegetables for my deli is due to the fact that lettuce and tomatoes would cause me to get stomach upsets.
The service at Subway Funan the IT Mall is usually slow. I can be the only customer but I have to wait for a couple of minutes for the Artist to take out the breads from the baking centre etc. I'm rather patient and alright with waiting especially if the Artist acknowledges my presence and apologises for making me wait but there are times when I'm faced with a not so customer-oriented Artist who would serve me without a smile after keeping me waiting.
I would like to continue patronising Subway but Subway must look into improving and not fall behind when it comes to managing customer's expectations."

Wilbur was in Fox, Topshop and Animal
went for pelvic ultrasound scan at SATA today and it really is a test of endurance and control *chuckles*...
when i saw the doc yest, he told me that they have to do the scan on a full bladder (which i thot was sap sap suay lor) so was advised to drink at least 6-8 glasses of H2O 2hrs before the scan... when the clinic nurse called me at 10am today, she informed that she made the appt with SATA at 11am ! i panicked caused i had not drank any water since i woke up lor (yeah, as u can see, i'm such an obedient citizen, help this country save water *lol*) !!! wtf! no choice had to gulp down like 3 glasses of water in the next couple of mins... on my way to SATA, i also bought mineral water as i was only halfway thru the requirement =( (btw, today is like the only day in my life to have drank so much water!!! very lucky i din drown man!!! i think most prob my blood now is super diluted! ok, ok, talking cock again lol)
the lady lab technician assigned to perform the scan told me to call her when i feel the urge to go to the loo... to speed things up, i downed the the mineral water and was ready to do the scan but the technician was not in the room! she appeared in a couple of mins and proceeded with the scan... she kept pressing the pelvic region with the scanner for like a good whole 20mins (bear in mind i'm holding my pee all this while!) ... during this time, she occasionally clicked a button, it was easy to guess that the button captures the screen shot of the area where she places the scanner, think either she wasnt a good photographer or my pelvic was giving poses that was not fit for a fashion magazine (think ANTM lol) cos she seemed to be re-taking the shots for most of the regions although i was lying quite stationary... aiyioh, the urge to turn on the water supply was killing me and my mind was furiously trying to recall where the nearest loo is! After she was satisfied with the pics, she told me the loo was just next door... hallelujah!
results will most prob be out tomorrow... keeping my fingers crossed tt here shouldnt be any cause for concern, somewhere at the back of my mind a little part is unsettled... oh well...
anyway, i conversed with Tee yest and i told him that i'm dying lol... he said tt i have to help sell off his onitsuka sneakers before i die, told him tt i will haunt him even if he is in church lol, added that if he is kneels during prayer and feels a depression in the cushion of which is he kneeling, that would be my ghost kekekekeke... i mentioned to dragon of my conversation with Tee but kena chided lor for talking abt such inauspicious stuff =p ... guess both me n tee had similar peranakan catholic upbringing where we tend to make light of things :)
i rem at my paternal grandma's funeral, which was held in our old pte apt at the 11th storey (yeah, its was a huge apt :)), my aunts n uncles all drank, ate, joke around their mum's coffin :) the atmosphere was definitely not sombre but merry... there were prayers n all still but guess what?! they still played limbo rock also all in full presence of my peacefully dead grandma =D the mood was such as they being catholics, they believed that death should be celebrated as it means you r in Heaven with God :) that's my family for you :) for some of u, it would seem strange but i'm really glad n thankful for having such a family as it makes me see things in a different light and kinda help me see the glass as half full rather than half empty :) that's y i can say after coming out of my teens, i have never blame God for all the bad patches that i experienced in life, good things actually come out of it but we dont realised most of the time... if the events did not happen in my life, i wouldnt have met dragon boy :)
after SATA, i explored bedok central... uncovered lots of interesting shops and also discovered my folly of shopping at the malls =p ... i found a similar hair tie which i had already bought at InQbox... i paid $4.50 for it but the shop only sold it for $2.90... arrrggghhh... to achieve economies of scale, i actually went to buy 3 more of the hair tie lol... i also bought like a kilo of cherries from a makeshift fruit stall near the interchange... so cheap lor! just $10 only!
actually i like the idea of exploring neighbourhoods but as i was not in the usual neighbourhood garb of tee, shorts n flip flops and sans make-up, some stupid uncles kept looking at me ... i wore my hair into 2 ponytails, had make-up and wore a A-line below knee skirt... i din like to think they had some stupid fantasy in their heads *pui pui pui* really felt like telling them 'kua si mi kua' but of course i would always chickened out cos its just me while they have the numbers lol
no doubt i like to dress up but that doesnt mean i'm dainty or dum lor! when some guys give a impolite stare, i would either crack my knuckles/neck or burp... it's a subtle message that i'm not some stupid gal they can fool, if they still dont get it, i would furrow my brows n give a super chao look... they would usu look away after heh ...
on way home, i felt very tired and sleepy... was deciding whether to get off at my home stop or at PP's but finally made the decision to shop in PP haha... this decision costs me abt $200 lol... i was thinking that maybe i wld die anway, hence maybe i should start to pamper myself hahhah... here's my loot list... bought 3 items at fox (2 tops n a pair of shorts only $58 cos UOB had additional 15% on top of its sale items) , a pair of jeans from topshop (thanks eugenia for telling us the other time abt the huge discount on its jeans), a bag n tee from animal (least discount of them all but e bag which i got for XY was hard to resist :p and one of their tee range was 40% off)... there was a super duper chio lamp at InQbox... it was made up of multi-coloured transparent lego bricks... very cute and colourful ... lucky thing i caught this printed on the box 'Made in China' so i managed to stop myself from buying heh :)
the doggies were treated with a kosong hamburger from macs :) figured that after scolding n screamin at them in the morning, i should counter it by being nice n surprising them =p ... lucky they were obedient when i got back else the burger would have been stored in the fridge... dinner was plain burger for me too lol... it's actually quite nice to eat a plain burger once in a while sans the ketchup, pickles etc...

Wilbur digs macabre humour
not many pple i know appreciates macabre humour... anything by tim burton i like very much :) like nightmare before christmas, corpse bride, charlie n the choc factory, sweetney tod and the list goes on... i can't really express or explain in words my love for such movies, it's like death is suppose to be a grave, sad thing but yet he manages to inject humour and lessons in them... ah...the ingenious play of contradiction... a series of unfortunate events, harry potter, pushing daisies are some of the other movies/tv shows which i dig... maybe most of my frens being chinese cannot fathom my love for such stuff cos afterall, death, skulls etc are suppose to be taboo topics or suay things that should not be made fun of *shrugs* ...
sometimes i wish i have a couple of whacky frens =p cos my secret fantasy is really to join a cosplay... dragon boy will frown upon this but as long as i'm not seen with him when i'm in costume i guess it shouldnt matter much to him *lol* seriously, i think it is fun n cool to dress up, it's one of those things i think i will die with regrets for not doing... so i have thot abt it, should i die young, i want to be dressed up like an anime character... but then again no one would have the guts to do this for me cos firstly they would be blamed for making a mockery of my funeral =( but to me it's not a mockery at all, i guess ultimately i just want pple to joke at my funeral and not be sad... most of us have been conditioned to display a specific type of emotion for specific occasions/events but why is it tt we have to follow or rather if we do not follow, we will be deemed as heartless, evil or crazy... it's sad really when we break out from the norm, we tend to get ostracised... but who has the right to dictate how we live anyway?
i respect and/or applaud pple like xiaxue, who dare to be forthcoming abt their views and also their flaws... she does not come across as fake and admits to her being vain n all... unless u lead an untainted life or have perfectly no flaws can u hate her, otherwise it is rather hypocritical dont u think to fault her or hate her?
have been splurging alot lately... i like all things pretty and unique and sometimes would tend to get carried away in my buying =p i think maybe i need to enrol myself in shopaholics anonymous!
got XY the Animal (UK brand) bag below and a cute card for her last day which was last Fri, i think she like the present and i pride myself for drawing the right analysis about her likings =p though we dont interact much at all but i managed to conclude that she will try new things, willing to adapt and will make an effort to stay trendy subtly... i got this by observing the way she dress and when she told me that she left it up to the chapter 2 hairstylist to cut her hair amongst others :) anyway, it's so much easier to get a gift for someone who is young as they dont have the earning power and it would come as a need to them instead of a want, but for us with earning power, we would have settled our needs long ago and now it's just satisfying our wants...

Melancholic Wilbur
sometimes i hate the fact tt i'm too considerate n nice but pple dont do the same back... makes me feel like an idiot... i wish to be mean but there r some pple whom u cant just blast cos then it will make them feel upset and pple will tend to take their side cos they are quiet... in the end, it's me, the plaintiff, who have pple accusing me of not being tolerant... excuse me! the fact that i blast basically means my tolerance limit has burst it's bubble due to constant inconsiderate words or actions by these pea brains!
over the years, i find myself covering for pple in their absence but no one covers me much, which is fine, but if you come back and start complaining incessantly of the amt of work you have, then pls go eat shit and just die... cos pple have been covering your duties on top on theirs and sometimes they even have to push aside their own work just to do yours. When u come back, how would one feel not to hear or feel any gesture of thanks but incessant complaining? i really wanted to give a tight slap across her face n just throw her down a flight of stairs... and can u believe this person could leave on the dot and still chat heartily in the morning despite having said she was bogged down with stuff... otak kembing, really! XY is really top notch when compared to her... geez... i just hope where ever she is gg, she would so suffer a terrible fate so she can wake up her idea... truly irresponsible!
feeling very downcast... it's not entirely attributed to SH's leaving but rather i missed the old batch of pple i used to work with like mingwen etc... all of us did not have a silo mentality then... it was never a 'me' first but rather we all helped each oher (even though it was not within our area of work or branch sometimes!) so that we din have to stay back too late etc... they offer help without the need for asking but now its so different... everyone for themselves and they just dont care... *heavy heart* it's getting so much harder to just grin n bear it nowadays... pple can leave on the dot while some of their older colleagues are staying back late everyday... no show of concern whatsoever... cos if they did, they would try to help their older colleagues resolve the issues so that they can go back to their family n spend time with them...
when i get out of the place, i hope to leave silently, no farewells and all cos' it doesnt matter anymore... i have lost the 'mojo' that made me stay all these years...
so sick n tired of everything in here... let the selfish con't their stay in their own warp silo world...
already thinking of snippets of wat to say when i leave...
11years just fleet through in a flash... feeling a little sad to leave... y a little? cos to me, this is not a permanent goodbye... though we may not be colleagues anymore, we will con't to be friends :) we could still meet up be it for tea, facial or shopping *grins* i'm pretty easy for most activities =)
working in AGD has enriched me in more ways than one which education alone could not do... i was like a young bottle of wine when i 1st joined but over the years, i have matured, my taste now richer and better and my journey ends here to see the outside world beyond the cellar :)
thank you all for eveything and that includes your patience, guidance, friendship, laughter... till we meet again, adieu...

Wilbur's one more thot...
oh yeah, recalled voldemort's conversation with SH yest (farewell lunch reception for agnes n mrs chua)... my take is tt parents will usu always try to protect their kids and prohibit them to do some stuff etc so they wont fall but i guess, it's not easy for parents to control the kids in some point... which may be a good thing afterall... parents may think they know the outcome of a decision we make before we actually emmbark on it but there may be times u gotta give us some credit that we will make the most out of any decision we make ... if we fall, it will be a good learning experience for us and would make us stronger as we will have our guards up and pick up skills or values from our fall... that's how u learnt from your parents too rite? i-told-u-so mentality would most of the time make us even more determined to break the norms set for us as we would want to prove u wrong...
to my future kid: remind me of this blog if i forget the words i have spoken here :)

Wilbur on a Saturday...
SH gave out the cupcakes to our colleagues yest, most were pretty impressed with the special airplane design on the cupcakes and the cupcakes being colorful and all (i guess colour therapy really works *grins*) :) fed this back to CCF and i hope it made her day :) anyway i finally realised what's the difference between muffins and cupcakes liao kekeke... i forgot that muffins had 'neh neh' shape so it will be a challenge to decorate them in comparison to cupcakes :) cool revelation *lol* but ahhh... if you think outta the box, it will be possible to decorate muffins as such as well :) i thot of the solution, have you? *muahahahah*
met CK for dinner and we went to s'pore flyer's hibiki restaurant (part of apex group which manages sakae sushi amongst others) for their promo meal package which comes with a s'pore flyer tic for a total px of $45 (after svc charges, taxes etc) per pax ... found it to be a good deal eventually as the meal was substantial (had to doggie bag some of my food items cos couldnt finish them)... the flyer tic is valid till end Sep 08 :)
btw, when we made our way to hibiki, we past by popeye's and boy was it crowded! think most pple din know it existed in changi airport many years back liao (tink when i was in my teens have already) :) its chicken is not too bad, a change if you get tired of KFC but there is another fried chicken place which existed in my teens which is still around today... it arnold's chicken located in city plaza... their chicken is not bad as the skin is pretty crispy and flavourful... they do delivery to limted places and marine parade is one of them *grins*... you know, sometimes it seems the ones with the better business acumen, are the ones who refrain from opening too many branches of their resturants, this way, they can maintain better QC and also at the same time, consumers would not be so easily jerlak of their food... couple of weeks back we held a farewell lunch for agnes at house of sundanese food, i'm all praise for them, food was good and the atmosphere was wonderful... decor was simple but yet it exuded a certain resort feel that for a moment it din feel like i was in boat quay but some bali resort *smiles* ... btw, there are only 2 HOSF in SG :) hope they stay that way... besides, if you know and understand the s'pore market, we like to try new things but due to the follow-what-the-joneses-do mentality, but we also tend to lose interest fast when we realised that its nothing special afterall... that's y its hard to sustain a biz if you go along wif the hype... there must be quality and unique-ness and a hard-to-imitate business plan... e.g. werner's oven :)
continuing from my dinner with CK, after dinner, we look see in the tourist retail shop in s'pore flyer... unless u r a carrot head, you might think twice buying some stuff in there... saw a simple pearl necklace designed with a couple of swarvosky crystals gg for $1,000 plus *amazed look* !!! wah lao, i can get dunno how many in chinatown lor!!! oh well...
anyway, we went to pick up SF at her workplace and proceeded to selegie to meet SH for rochor dou hua... after that we went to mr bean cafe (which all of us, other then SH, thot it was the mr bean dou hua place, much to the amusement and frustration of SH *lol* as we had alot of miscomm before we met him) as SF needed a light meal =) somehow i enjoy spending time with them, yes, there may be chat topics in some conversations which we cant join in here and there but i guess at the end of the day sharing a laugh is what warms me... when close colleagues leave, it is not a goodbye for me cos i believe what made us close in the first place is the trust and unspoken understanding that we will still hang out, though not as frequent (it can be couple of months or even years!), and continue to share laughter and stories as though we last met yest... good friendships withstand the test of time and though one may not tell everything to a fren now, bits of such info will be release later but it will make us closer as well...
though i may try to dress young (yeah, hate the fact to come across as adult-looking esp on weekends... form of escapism from being an adult the rest of the week *smiles*), it is not a reflection of my level of maturity... never judge a book by its cover is truly apt... if you know me well, u know tt i may joke and come across as a blondie sometimes but it's not always the case is it? :) maybe its all thanks to my peranakan blood that i can portray many different sides depending on the circumstances... tee might agree with me on this one :) becos peranakan blood is champo with asian and european so that's y we can most of the time adapt to situations :) i dont find a need to explain myself sometimes esp for those who cant get the most obvious hints... like i said, obvious liao so should catch the drift but no lor... so y bother waste my time in explaining anyway? *shrugs*
winter seems to have toned down in her naughty-ness... made me worried a bit cos i thot she may be ill but i guess its not :)
geez, been at this for like over an hr... have drained my brain of my thots accumulated these couple of days... which is good as i can have new thots in my brains in the coming days =) dragon is sending his mum to JB hence, i have my me time for whole of today :)
now... what's for lunch?

Wilbur the Nonya
Today was the 1st time i caught ch 5’s sayang sayang and i must say that’s it’s not bad :) have been quite sceptical all this time hence i did not make an attempt to watch it but happen to leave the tv on while i was doing my chores and the prog came on... kheng hua and james lee nonya & baba portrayal of a nonya and baba bitching and scolding was spot on and it made me tear... u must be thinking that i must be crazy to tear when it’s suppose to be a light hearted prog but a longing feeling came onto me... how i long to hear all that bibik talk & gossip, see my relatives wear the nonya baju and sarong, experience once again the peranakan culture which i was so accustomed to when i was a kid living with my paternal grandma... it struck me that no more will i have the chance to experience all these and what was worse was that i was losing my peranakan way of talking... my vocab seems to be getting limited by day... so much so that i started talking to the doggies in baba talk *grins* ... it’s sad to think that my peranakan heritage is lost with me =(
Talk abt nostalgia, there is still a mama shop in the block next to mine... it seems that the shop might one day be gone especially when we have a couple of giant supermarkets like cold storage and NTUC nearby, not to mention 2 7-11 convenience store... i am one who is for preservation of the old way of life and i hate the thot that one day all the stuff i was once familiar would be gone 4ever... pple nowadays don’t treasure anything at all (and that includes relationship with frens, family etc) and its maybe cos that’s y we become so self-centred, selfish, rude, oblivious to pple around us... it’s pathetic enough that we need to have campaigns to be courteous, spend more time with family, having ministers to tell us to be gracious, etc... speaking of which, the recent tvc on the family which was directed by Malaysian lady is truly touching... yeah i know that i contradict myself by criticising abt these campaigns but since its already done, i find it worth commending... ok, i tear again when i caught the whole tvc (father and daughter) earlier just now ... either mediacorp have perfected the technology of sending smells through tv or maybe i’m having a mid-life crisis, gotta face it that i’m old *grunt*
I hope ssc works out, i need the change... will see how it goes :)
Yay, few of us old poly classmates (some became ex colleagues too *lol*) will gather at ccf’s house next sat... will finally see her little gorgeous boy who starred opp zoe tay in the abbott milk commercial :) ccf is also another cool mum... she makes cupcakes and sells them online (www.littlefairyland.com)... truly happy that things are gg well for her... i sincerely feel happy for my close pals when i hear things are gg well for them *smiles with eyes closed*...
Darn! the cramps i get for my toes and calves once in a blue moon seem to be recurring quite frequently now... it’s bloodie painful... the toes curl up and when u try to straighten, they hurt real bad =( ... apparently i might be deficient in potassium so i need to start eating bananas (the yellow kind hor!!! Dirty minds... tsk tsk) which is high in them...but the problem is i only like pisang raja which me thinks is from m’sia, they are smaller but softer in flesh and it doesn’t give a siap siap after-taste which i get from eating those bloodie del monte brand *scratches tongue*... i need to drink lots of water too... aye... so troublesome... signs of aging? The skin under my eyes seems to sag... hoping for a miracle alternative to cosmetic surgery or botox... dream on Wilbur!
Shoulders and back starting to ache... the dining table and chair not suited for my using of vaio, but haven’t really been actively looking for a suitable portable table and ergonomic chair... maybe see whether dragon boy is keen to pop by ikea this weekend...
Alamak! dunno what happen to nesvita, all supermarkets, minimarts etc don’t have them... i no choice have to get omega plus... lighter taste but doesn’t seem to have iron and folic acid which nesvita has... i don’t read papers often, only just when i lay them on the ground for lining of the doggies pee and poo hahaha... (usu the headlines would intrigue me and i would just stand at the foot of the pee area to read the article =)) so if you guys see a report of the recall of nesvita due to some ban ingredient etc pls update me hor... kam sia zuay zuay =)

Wilbur says Thank You!
i escape from life for an hour yest... thanks hossan, for entertaining me... i'm so thankful there are entertainers like u around... so i ever leave Singapore for good, the thing i would miss most would be you, dim sum dollies and a couple of other local acts...
maybe its my peranakan background that made me enjoy hossan's piano playing and singing... u know, macham like talentime like tt... ah... the good old days when my grandma and mum winnie would tune in to such shows on tv...
hossan is truly talented and funny... though he is suppose to exude funny-ness but he manage to touch my heart when he sung those sad love songs... gotta hand it to him *applause* i very much like dragon boy to share my sentiments about hossan but he can be really stubborn... he doesnt like hossan's lifestyle that's why....
btw, hossan sang with his brother... not too sure whether he is younger or not but hossan definitely looks better... i kinda tink hossan got botox injects thats y he doesnt look his age :) his bro's singing not as strong and lively as hossan, he's supposedly to be a dj at 938 live though...
btw, i stopped by my neighbourhood's 7-11 before heading home... a woman made me pretty mad and nope she did not do anything to me but to the cashier... i wanted to pay for my items but the cashier was counting coins so he told me to give him a min of which i replied:"yah, sure :) no problem" then comes along this piece of shit face lady (no apologies for calling her this as she is deserving of the title) wanting to pay for her purchase... she had a slight irritated look when she saw the cashier oblivious to her (as he was still busy with the counting) and she ask whether she could pay, noticing that the cashier was trying not to lose count of the coins, i replied that he is counting coins... of which she immediately said:"it shouldnt be at the mercy of the customers!" i was taken aback at her reply. the cashier heard it too and his face was sour... a few secs later, he kept the coins away and attended to me... i had wanted to say 2 him out loud that some pple are just idiots but i held back my tongue... anyway, since she was queing behind me i made it a point to dig for my cash slowly etc... bloodie piece of arse... it's already getting harder to stay in this country with the high cost of living and all... it doesnt help when u have such pple making it worse then it already is... to hell with them man...
its seems like a stay home saturday today... i packed away some of my old clothes for giving away... damn i really inherit my grandma's habit of liking to keep lots of stuff and not throwing them away (my nyonya grandma use to say 'sayang' to throw away)... sometimes cos i never know when i these will be useful while other times its cos the stuff brings back memories =P ... but i managed to clear some clothes, so it's an minor achievement *grin*
CK looks more funky now which is way way cool then he was before :) met him yest as we went to watch hossan together... i almost din see him cos dunno y i was still expecting gelled down hair with glasses *lol*...
recently i have been sending in compliments, feedback when i get good service... nothing beats when u noe pple appreciate your service, it will kinda spur u on to do better... anyway, its my way of countering the mass complaints or idiotic behaviour of easily disgruntled pple here... hope this small gesture goes a long way :)
btw, if my BMI is normal, there is no reason to be alarmed and comment that i'm disappearing! get a hold of yourselves lah pple... some pple are blessed being naturally thin while others like me tend to put on weight easily cos of my family genes and hence i have to make the effort to be slim but as long as i'm of healthy weight and not freaking bony like calista flockhart or laura flynn boyle, there is no cause for concern hor...
geeze feeling sleepy... think zzz monster paying me a visit... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Wilbur's Roots
had dinner wif tee at miss clarity's at tanjong katong... tee was late and i was standing outside the cafe waiting... wasnt a good idea cos right smack opp the road was a pretty huge ktv lounge with a screaming neon sign... somehow it made the dick heads that walked past me think that i was waiting to be picked up *snarl* not tt i was dressed skimpyly lor... bunch of ass...
anyway, somehow those cheena uncles be it taxi driver or hawker somehow think tt all gals who dress up nicely i.e dress, make-up, pumps like v weak , dainty or got 'xiao jie' attitude... NOT all lor!!! couple of times when i'm in a dress, i feel that these hawker uncles think i 'xiao jie' so they have this look that seem to undermine my ability to carry my food by myself when i place an order... sheesh... if i note the sign that says 'self service', i would cary the food myself but some stupid uncle sometimes assume that i wont and once i place an order, they would immediately and grumpily remind me to carry my food... wtf... but guess cant blame them for thinking this way entirely cos i bet tt there would be some gu niangs that really yaya to these hawker uncles bah... wat to do?!
been a while (like a couple of years while haha) since i ate escargots... i used to have them at jack's place but after like eating them almost every week, i somehow stopped eating them... anyway, at clarity's we decided to order the snails... the seasoning was ok i guess but i wish they had more seasoning cos the inner part of the snail did not get the seasoning so a bit too original taste when i came to the end part *green* ... their food ok lah and prices i think r super reasonable :)
after makan, con't to chat with tee... good session as we talked abt being peranakan and how baba families all got problem one haha... i guess why i think differently is cos of my heritage and upbringing which is very unlike a typical pure chinese family... and maybe me being mixed with the different nationalities of my forefathers also play a part on why i'm a tad more open minded *grin*... sometimes i wish i could trace my family tree, it will be damn interesting lor ... dutch, english, indonesian, chinese, malay ... wah lao but my chest area have to take after the chinese trait *...* bian bian ...
geez, SH is leaving and literally on a jet plane (but maybe after a 1 year or so after he has grasp the practical :)) ... sure gonna miss having mr pakistani spikey head around but i'm truly happy for him tt he found his interest and maybe his calling :)total of 9 years man but he will haf good prospects if he can withstand the stress, pressure and demands of the job... ALL the BEST dude!
eye lid shutting down le... hope i can con't watever i had wanted to jot in the next week or so :) chiao for now!

Wilbur's Amazement
it's getting harder for me to accept how pple think and behave in this country... both dragon n me really tink tt its best to move out of this country and stay in places like BKK or japan (if we have the $$$) when we retire but recently, i have been contemplating to move even sooner... only prob is money and family...
i cant believe how some parents are got so worked up with the saving gaia ad of the mannequin boy being mutilated and mediacorp have to pull it off air... yah, your kid is scared then teach him not to be or explain to him... if not just cover his bloodie eyes lah!!! i grew up watching horror shows though i was not suppose to, of course i was super scared and had nightmares but u grow out of it... so what is it wif u dumb ass parents???!!! u cant protect the kid 4ever and sheltering them from such images only does more damage... imagine if the kid witness a death by accident where the head or body is all messed up, what r u gg to do then? really some parents have pea brains... if you notice, how come expats never complain abt such things? thats cos they are more exposed and are far more far sighted than the truly cheena parents some are... u go and think lah, kid having nightmare or saving the earth more important... no earth, kid no need to have nightmare also will die... f**king idiots...
u can say i wont understand cos i dont have kids, but the way i was brought up is enough for me to understand... i had a pretty strict upbringing and there were times i felt unloved and even contemplate suicide when i was a teenager, i wasnt spoiled though i was in a way the only child but being in this kind of situation made me stronger and taught me to be independent which i'm actually thankful for... my life hasnt always been perfect, in fact i consider it tumultuous but if i had to re-live my life over again, i would still choose the same cos if not i would not have been what i'm today... if i ever have a kid, i would only protect him if he ever comes close to danger but otherwise, he shall eat off from the table etc... being overly protective is more detrimental than u can imagine, it weakens our spirit, character... see how kids easily get the hand, foot and mouth diseases... they are not able to pick up stuff from the floor or table and pop it back in their mouth, hence, there body does not build up the natural defences, thereby weakening their immune system...
so tired of how pple can be so narrow minded, short sighted etc... it's really stifling just witnessing such incidents... i want out ...
before i wizz off to snooze land, i'm thankfuk to tee for recommending dr goh... he atcually waived the consultation fees when both me and sf went to see him just now... one hell of a doc!!!
i cant believe how some parents are got so worked up with the saving gaia ad of the mannequin boy being mutilated and mediacorp have to pull it off air... yah, your kid is scared then teach him not to be or explain to him... if not just cover his bloodie eyes lah!!! i grew up watching horror shows though i was not suppose to, of course i was super scared and had nightmares but u grow out of it... so what is it wif u dumb ass parents???!!! u cant protect the kid 4ever and sheltering them from such images only does more damage... imagine if the kid witness a death by accident where the head or body is all messed up, what r u gg to do then? really some parents have pea brains... if you notice, how come expats never complain abt such things? thats cos they are more exposed and are far more far sighted than the truly cheena parents some are... u go and think lah, kid having nightmare or saving the earth more important... no earth, kid no need to have nightmare also will die... f**king idiots...
u can say i wont understand cos i dont have kids, but the way i was brought up is enough for me to understand... i had a pretty strict upbringing and there were times i felt unloved and even contemplate suicide when i was a teenager, i wasnt spoiled though i was in a way the only child but being in this kind of situation made me stronger and taught me to be independent which i'm actually thankful for... my life hasnt always been perfect, in fact i consider it tumultuous but if i had to re-live my life over again, i would still choose the same cos if not i would not have been what i'm today... if i ever have a kid, i would only protect him if he ever comes close to danger but otherwise, he shall eat off from the table etc... being overly protective is more detrimental than u can imagine, it weakens our spirit, character... see how kids easily get the hand, foot and mouth diseases... they are not able to pick up stuff from the floor or table and pop it back in their mouth, hence, there body does not build up the natural defences, thereby weakening their immune system...

Wilbur Po
watched kungfu panda today at the cinema. yes, u heard me rite, at the cinema *grins* ... it's been a while since both dragon boy n me caught a movie at the theatre, if u guys know us well, we have been catching movies from dvds *winks* cos dragon boy is a bit of a kiam kanna (direct translation - salty dried fruit *lol*) ... he suggested tt we catch the movie at a not so popular theatre, which was damn shiok cos other than a family of noisy kids, we had the whole cinema to ourselves!!! for once, i could prop my feet onto the front seat *happy* and i din have to shift in my seat uncomfortably cos no big heads were in front to block me lalalala *joyous* ... maybe my hormones are still imbalance cos i just ended my period but i have been pretty emotional the past couple of days, tearing without much logic and somemore could not control the emotion and tears... even when i watched kungfu panda, there were some scenes which actually touched me and tears welled up in my eyes *shrugs* ...
been having some minor frustrations wif dragon boy... he thinks tt i'm too harsh with winter but the thing is, he is not around much to see winter behave badly... she becomes rebellious when i shower her with love n attention... i guess that's the thing with pple, when we witness a single display of hostility, we tend to think that the person showing the hostility shouldnt been so petty etc, but if you did not experience what this person has gone through for him/her to act n this manner, it is best not to comment as both of you will risk being upset with each other... i can be pretty direct with my words sometimes when i need to defend my actions and it would usu cause conflict... i feel very frustrated when my behaviour and actions are misinterpreted esp by dragon boy whom i always assumed is to know me well but apparently sometimes he doesnt =p... he should by now understand tt i'm not usu very hostile or unfriendly but when my patience is worn thin after repeated trying by the same incident or person, it will push my hostile button... i had always expected him to support my actions but usu that's not the case =( he would comment which gets me upset... *sigh* sometimes, i find tt i would support him for his actions and if i dont agree, i wld just hold back my comments cos i know tt it might cos him to be even more upset so i just want him to do the same *roll eyes* ... MAN really from Mars!!!

Wilbur can see Venus!
aye, i always have been fascinated with the night sky... i always see a bright steady dot of light in the sky that's always close to the moon these couple of weeks, it's not a star but actually Venus *excitedly*! yeps! hands up those of u that know that this bright dot is a planet! amazing how we can see this planet with the naked eye... lately it's very bright and apparently i read tt its around this time when it the brightest!!! so cool... dragon boy doesnt believe me when i tell him its a planet, tells me it's a satellite *rolls eyes*.... anyway, me being a libra, love and appreciate all things beautiful and this is definitely one of the universe wonders which i very much appreciate... venus is like 26 million miles away from earth yet we can see it!
at other times of the year, the other steady dot of light would be other planets but venus is the most alluring cos it's the brightest of the lot... somehow looking at it gives me hope (maybe hence the phrase 'glimmer of hope'?) ... i guess i like the sky so much cos i know that beyond it, is the vast vast universe which have not been tainted by mankind unlike earth... caught a bit of the news on tv mobile... 2 orang utans got to sit the s'pore flyer, a publicity to make pple aware that we need to conserve the wildlife which is rapidly diminishing (though i dont get the part abt apes sitting the flyer and conservation *shrugs*)... it reported that only 7,500 orang utans are left in the world and increasing forest fires in sumatra contribute to the diminishing population... i was struck with grief and sadness almost immediately when i heard this... my heart cried as i imagine the apes being killed alive by the fires... at this moment, i really din believe the notion that 'one person could make a difference'... feel hapless, useless and ashamed, am i resigned to the fact tt nothing can be done to help the animals? i mean even if i wanted to help, wat can i do to stop the fires? pple here, including myself, seem to be more concern abt managing our own livelihood and seeking material things... though i don't splurge on luxury items but i am too guilty of seeking things that are wants and not needs... it saddens me to think we have become as such... bad news everywhere now... global warming etc... guess maybe a higher power is experimenting on us and observing how long more before we destroy ourselves when we get too smart for our own good... *heavy heart*
my flu from 3 weeks ago is still lurking in my bloodie system... lots of phlegm in my throat, making me cough irrationally... i need to like spit every now and then, damn gross and troublesome *grumble* ... just waiting for that mother-of-all clot that once i spit it out of my system, i'm cleared! doesnt feel like its coming out anytime soon though *aaarrrggghhh*....
btw, met up wif lyn n V at chin huat steamboat at novena on wed... they are my sec school mates... lynn is still flawlessly pretty as ever!!! u cant imagine her having 3 kids liao (3rd one is in the womb) ... ever heard of a 7 mths pregnant lady having a small shot of vodka at balaclava and puffs occasionally *lol* this is she :) gives meaning to the phrase "life is short" - i like! V is thinking of getting her 6th tattoo in US Miami ink but she wants a goat pic... hmmmm... anyway, she already so full of charm and charisma that even the shanghai gal models throw themselves at her and call her *shuai shuai* lol... she is like chris ho to me... epitome of cool with capital Os in the middle... as much as i would like to get a tattoo, dragon boy doesnt like me to have one, not a big deal for me lah... remember way back there was those cheap pale pink chewing gum with a teddy bear face on the different colour wrappers, on the other side of the wrapper was a robot 'tattoo'? we would transfer the tattoo onto our hand usu, by wetting the wrapper? can someone come up wif a super giant version of this wrapper but with better design, of course, for pple like me??? hahahahhaha.... lyn n V said that tattoos are a taboo for some cos it can change your luck to either very very good or very very bad and usu it will affect the stability if you are in a relationship... hmmm... i can be pan tang so i guess i wont want to take chances for now... esp if it would make my relationship turn bad =p ....
been online shopping lately, bought a pair of wellies from ebay london and eagerly waiting for it to arrive... bought it cos i thot it will be fun to wear during very wet days and besides, it will keep my feet dry... so practical and yet it fits into my change of style again :) it's white with big light green dots... guess this way, not too loud and easier to match clothes... did a whole lot of online purchases as well which i shall not go into details but think it's whole every cent spent! damn, i hope my habit of buying too many items which I do not have a chance to wear is not coming back full force... yeah, i ought to shoot myself... again seeking unwanted wants =(
better get some shut eye... clover was whining earlier, guess she sort of knows that by keeping late nights, i wont be able to wake up tmr =P ... aiyah, but how do i explain to her that sometimes, i just need to pen down my thots else if too many is bottled up i wont like explode lor...

Wilbur still under the weather...
been exactly a week since i visited my doc for flu and the works =p ... completed my medication a couple of days ago but the symptoms still persists... went to the doc again today and got stronger medication plus antibiotics... total damage for this damn flu virus? $69 for the 2 visits! medical cost really ex lor... heart pain man... usu i would self medicate but this time, its really serious, my mucus was all yellow goo *too bad if u feel sick from imagination of my condition... lol*...
some pple have been complaining abt the noise from TV mobile... apparently they have never encountered passengers who talk v loudly and non-stop throughout the entire bus journey whether over the phone or to the person beside them... i was caught in such a situation a couple of times and trust me, TV mobile is nothing compared to those goondu buggers who have no bloody sense of consideration towards other passengers... yest i was suay enuf to have to sit through listening a bloody woman talk over the phone to her publicist or something... wah lao i really felt like striking her with a super sharp heel so that she will be killed instantly and from the looks of the other passengers sitting near her, they too seem to share the same thots as me... she kept gg on and on and repeating her sentences, think worse of all she spoke like she v smart and helpful like that, cannot stand!!! maybe also her voice not that pleasant... if she had the angelic voice of chloe agnew the teen prodigy then maybe we wont find it offensive... geez...
went to trim my hair yest... it was an impromptu action as I was shopping at far east plaza and i notice this salon was still open though it was abt 845pm and it had a japanese name 'haru' lol ... paid $38, find it ex but i really wanted a hair cut as my fringe was causing me to have neck aches cos' it was too long and it blocked my side views so much so that i would have to tilt my head uncomfortably occasionally... anyway, the hairstylist was a male and his name is Kenji though he seemed m'sian to me hee... anyway, they closed at 9pm but cos of me he had to close at 9.30pm... felt bad lah but i think $38 covers the inconvenience besides i told him i dont need to have a wash though he offered :) pleased with he hair cut... i have fringe!!! not possible a couple of months back when my chin was blunt haha... but losing weight recently brought some sharpness back =) but my face still lop-sided =( one side seems to be puffier... seriously, the right side of me is full of imperfections... evidence? right ear is folded and juts out if the hair is too thin around there, my right eye is lazy, my right ankle is fatter (know this cos I those shoe straps that goes round), my right elbow has a darker discolouration at he groove, my right thigh has very obvious varicose veins popping, my eczema happens more on my right feet and now even my right pit, my right leg got the burnt mark from the lousy acupuncture treatment... dont think i need to go on... my right profile is not my best... in fact find it ugly... but guess i have to embrace these imperfections... no choice right?! *sticks out tongue*
my plan is to get out of hell after June... no matter if i'm not offered a job from my applications... i intend maybe to just work at some fast food joint like MOS burger or Carl's Jr for the time being to take a break and still have some income... when can i win like some big sum of money so that i can find some senang work for the rest of my life??? day dreaming again!!! i'm also toying with the idea tt maybe i will ask weiren if he needs my help at his soon-to-be-opened cafe in july, of course no favours lah, will still be paid a waitress pay that he is offering =p
though i'm not well but i'm happy to spend time with my 2 babies =) ... clover is seriously adorable and likable... winter still irritates me sometimes but i hope she will grow up to be more obedient... one thing abt big dogs is that u can hug them real hard... same goes for hamsters... i always like syrians cos they can fill your whole palm and i can gently rub noses with shinobi milky and snowy... dwarf hamsters more swift and agile so harder to catch them and they seem to be more wary then syrians... too me, holding a syrian more shiok than dwarf lah... syrian more affectionate =)
sigh, wanted to get those ballet-like shoes from far east but those that sold in the stores now not as nice or comfy as the ones i bought previously... the ones i have now are really super comfy but the red pair is spoiled while the under part of the black pair is broken, it can still be worn... though i have the makings of imelda macos for my collection of shoes, i tend to stick to a certain pair when it is comfy and complements my dressing style at a certain point in time... like now, i like wearing mini skirts and the ballet pumps helps to balance the look from becoming too casual or campy...
told myself to stop buying clothes but yest i saw those vintage tees which i have seen in those fashion mags... queens couture is like selling them at a bomb.. $60? but i came by this stall along orchard that were selling them and very much like those available in queens but at a fraction of the price... they were having a sale so they are selling 2 for $27 else one would be like $18 for one... i wanted to get 2 initially but the tee base colours v dull like grey, maroon so in the end i got a 'tide' in pale yellow and the other is a guy's tee for dragon boy... not too sure whether he will like it cos the tee is for bikers, got 'motorbike' printed on the front but he drives lor =p ...
time to get some shut eye... gg to hell again tmr...
